Our Paediatricians

We’re proud to work with a team of experienced and caring Paediatricians. 

At Ashford Hospital you get to choose which Paediatrician you use. You may wish to discuss this option with your Obstetrician or you can contact them directly below. 

Paediatricians don’t routinely attend vaginal births unless requested, however they do attend elective and emergency Caesarean Section births. In some cases, they attend delivery of multiple births, premature babies and breech deliveries. If your baby needs extra care and support they may be admitted to the Nursery. 

Usually, you’ll have at least two consultations with the Paediatrician, one whilst you’re in hospital and a follow-up 6-8 weeks after you go home. 

You’ll receive a separate invoice for your Paediatrician which usually includes an out-of-pocket gap cost.
