Cardiac Services

Flinders Private Hospital is at the forefront of innovative cardiac care in South Australia. Being co-located with Flinders Medical Centre (FMC), Adelaide’s largest tertiary hospital in the southern region, our cardiac facilities continue to undertake the majority of interventional life-saving procedures in the south.

Yet it’s not just the number and complexity of surgeries that make us the heart of cardiac care - the equipment and technology are world class. Our Cardiologists performed the first Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implant (TAVI) using a balloon expandable valve in the Asia-Pacific Region.

We perform a high number of comprehensive cardiac procedures thanks to more than 20 cardiologists and four cardiothoracic surgeons treating their patients here. We provide integrated cardiology care incorporating diagnostic, therapeutic and procedural services in our three leading edge Angiography labs and two state of the art dedicated cardiothoracic operating theatres. All our cardiac services are supported by our coronary care unit and 10 bed critical care unit.
