General Surgery is a major specialty at Flinders Private Hospital and our large group of Surgeons are also qualified with sub-specialties.
Flinders Private Hospital provides an emergency service for all cardiac related symptoms via our Cardiac Emergency Centre 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Flinders Private Hospital provides a broad range of surgical services for both day surgical procedures and overnight stay, including contracted surgical procedures for the public hospital, Flinders Medical Centre.

Flinders Private Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital and is a proud member of the Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance Incorporated (ACHA) in South Australia. ACHA is an Association governed by a Board of six Directors elected and appointed by its members in accordance with it's Constitution.
Flinders Private Hospital, built in 1999, is the most modern acute private hospital in Adelaide and is recognised for providing contemporary and innovative care, supported by the latest technology, equipment and facilities.

Car parking is available for Flinders Private Hospital patients and visitors at the front of the hospital and in the Care Park multi-storey car park on Flinders Drive which is only a 3 minute walk to Flinders Private Hospital.
Directions to Flinders Private Hospital from the Care Park multi-storey car park (Flinders Drive)
1. Access Care Park multi-storey car park from South Road into Flinders Drive.
2. From Care Park multi-storey car park proceed to Flinders Private Hospital:
- From the car park lifts on Level 2, walk straight ahead to exit the car park.
- Once you have exited the car park, turn left onto the small service road. Walk north towards the rail line. Once you reach the Service Road, turn right and follow the path towards Flinders Private Hospital. (Please note: There is no access to FPH via the FMC/Northern Entrance).
- Our friendly staff will assist you at the Reception desk. The main lifts in the foyer will take you to your ward (information board at the lifts)
Visiting Hours
General hospital visiting hours are between 11.00am – 8.00pm.
Specialty areas including Critical Care have unique visiting guidelines. Arrangements to visit patients in this area are made in consultation with staff.
Cafe
Refreshments, flowers, cards and reading material such as newspapers and magazines can be purchased from the cafe located on the ground floor.
